Virtual Automation Academy at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Midyear Clinical Meeting

New, interactive experience replicates the product showcase at Swisslog Healthcare North American headquarters, demonstrating a complete ecosystem of transport and pharmacy automation solutions.

December 7, 2020

Broomfield, CO (December 7, 2020) - -Swisslog Healthcare, a leading global supplier of integrated solutions for medication management in healthcare environments, launches a digital representation of their Automation Academy at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Midyear Clinical Meeting, December 6-10.

The virtual Automation Academy replicates the product showcase at the organization’s Technology Center in Broomfield, Colorado. There, visitors can explore the transport and pharmacy automation solutions utilized by more than 3,000 hospitals worldwide.

“The Automation Academy is heart of our Technology Center,” explains Vice President of Solution Management and Marketing for Swisslog Healthcare, Michael Blondin. “It’s where we conduct hands-on training classes, test new technology and enable prospective customers to experience our products firsthand. Now, we’re making that environment accessible to everyone through this virtual experience.”

Within the site, visitors will see the organization’s proven pharmacy robotic solutions, BoxPicker® Automated Pharmacy Storage System and PillPick® Automated Packaging and Dispensing System. Swisslog Healthcare is also highlighting the software systems that enable connectivity throughout their portfolio, Pharmacy Manager Medication Inventory Management Software and Delivery Manager Medication and Material Tracking Software.

Swisslog Healthcare will make a donation to the Mile High United Way COVID-19 Community Response Program for every visitor to the virtual Automation Academy during ASHP. Through donations like this, Mile High United Way is providing basic needs services to communities that have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19, with a focus in the areas of food security, housing, rent/utility assistance, health services and support for seniors.

In addition to the virtual experience, the organization is welcoming ASHP attendees to experience their Automation Academy through remote, personalized product demonstrations.

“Some of the most meaningful connections we make at the ASHP Midyear meeting happen during the private VIP product demonstrations,” explains Blondin. “Now, we can remotely deliver that dynamic, interactive experience historically limited to the trade show floor.”

ASHP attendees can register for a private, remote demonstration at swisslog-healthcare.com/ASHP2020. For more information about the entire ecosystem of Swisslog Healthcare transport and pharmacy automation solutions, visit swisslog-healthcare.com.
